Reviews and Ratings
I felt like I traveled back in time in the beautiful rooms, but the hidden toilet caught me by surprise. The hotel's charm on the third floor is undeniable, but it would have been nice to know about the curtain-covered toilet in advance.
The Inn is a cozy gem with a great location in the Mission area, slightly outside the 'touristy' areas of San Francisco. The rooms, though small, had everything I needed for a comfortable one-night stay, including a good heater, a comfy bed, and a nice robe. The service was top-notch, with incredibly kind and helpful staff who were attentive and pleasant. The dining experience was delightful, offering a lovely array of fresh fruit, homemade quiches, and pies. The facilities, including a beautiful courtyard garden and a rose in a bud vase in the bathroom, added to the charm of this small Inn.
The hotel exuded San Francisco style and elegance with bright, clean, and beautifully appointed rooms, though being in a shared-bath room had its challenges. The location in the charming Victorian Inn San Francisco offered history-rich surroundings, but could be intimidating after sunset.
The hotel is located in the heart of the Mission District, offering a genuine and interesting experience for those who want to explore beyond the typical tourist spots. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and uniquely decorated; however, the late-night atmosphere on Van Ness can be sketchy. The dining experience is exceptional with complimentary evening drinks and stunning city views, but the prices may not be the most budget-friendly.
